Acting Dean's Welcome Message

Greetings!

Welcome to the College of Business and Law (CBL) at the Royal University for Women! We are thrilled to have you as part of our esteemed institution. As the Acting Dean of CBL, I take pride in the excellence of our business and law education and the opportunities we provide to shape successful careers.

Our diverse undergraduate programmes focus on four core competencies: knowledge and understanding, subject-specific skills, critical thinking, and general transferable skills. Our dedicated faculty members ensure engaging learning experiences, fostering curiosity and practical application of knowledge.

At CBL, we are not just a college but a community that encourages entrepreneurship and innovation. Over the years, our team won first place in the categories “Best Company of the Year 2021” and “Most Popular Team” for its idea of giving back to earth and agriculture to achieve its vision of making the environment of the Kingdom of Bahrain greener. CBL students have participated for many years in the Trade Quest Competition, which is organised annually by Bahrain Bourse, participating in the most prestigious competition, The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, and participated in the SSCA Arabic Moot AY 2022 -2023 and won third place. Throughout the past years, our students have always secured coveted spots on the podium.

Our college’s strong industry linkages ensure rich learning experiences and provide further opportunities for experiential learning. CBL has a Memoranda of Understanding with banks, companies, ministries, NGOs and international organisations of eminence that will help students find quality internship opportunities and provide them with real-life experience on the job. We collaborate closely with other higher education institutions internationally. Among our partners, we count West Virginia University, USA, Dar Al-Hekma University, KSA, and La Rochelle Business School, France. CBL offers study-abroad opportunities and international education trips that will expose our students to unique international experiences and support their learning in a truly global context.

CBL remains committed to its objective to further the cause of women’s empowerment and advancement through education. If you are interested in an excellent business education in an exemplary learning environment, you have found it. Welcome to all of you! Wishing you all a productive and a fulfilling academic year.

Warmest regards,
