Assistant / Associate Professor in Design Management

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • PhD Degree in Design Management or its equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the similar field
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Teaching and research experience in the field of Design Management
  • Experience in teaching Design Management-related topics as Design Leadership, Design thinking, Design Entrepreneurship, and others
  • Interdisciplinary focus that facilitates research and teaching
  • Relevant research experience and publications (For Associate Professor position)
  • A record of scholarly and / or professional / creative work is required
  • Excellent Interpersonal, Organizational and Communication skills
  • Ability to participate actively in service to the College, University, and outreach to the community
  • Ability to teach at Undergraduate and Graduate levels
  • Preferably, proficiency in both Arabic and English

Assistant Prof. Graphic Design-Digital Media ( FC4,FC7-GD011021)

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • PhD Degree/ Master’s degree in Graphic Design or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the similar field
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Ability to teach a variety of graphic design studios and related courses.
  • Proficiency in recent design and photo editing software for teaching courses such as – Web Design, Digital Media, Motion Graphics, 2D- 3D Animation, Video Production and more.
  • Creative skills in print media, illustration, and image-making
  • Relevant Industry experience of minimum 2 years
  • Good research record, participation in exhibitions and membership in relevant bodies related to the field of Graphic Design
  • An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment.
  • Experience in online teaching and evaluation.
  • Preferably, proficiency in both Arabic and English

The role consists of:

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the department directly as the go-to person for all needs, including daily administration, calendar management, business development, project coordination, & delivering presentations.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the coordination and execution of various projects and initiatives within the department and University, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Communication Management: Facilitate effective communication between internal departments, external stakeholders, and the broader community. This includes drafting communications, preparing presentations, and managing inquiries.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate logistics for events, seminars, workshops, and conferences hosted by the department, ensuring smooth execution and attendee satisfaction.
  • Financial Administration: Assist in financial administration tasks such as budget tracking, expense reporting, and invoice processing, in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Coordinating with Marketing Department (editing/checking mainly)
  • Research and idea contribution.
  • General project management
  • Establishing positioning, identifying target audiences, and developing marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
  • Analyzing customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • 2 years experience in related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related fields
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Fluent in English / Arabic – written and spoken
  • High standards of customer service. Proficiency in working with all social media platforms (Instagram, You Tube ,WhatsApp , Twitter , Facebook , Snapchat , LinkedIn)
  • Ability to liaise effectively both in verbal & written communication
  • Ability to monitors and analyze social media activity.
  • Copy writing skills.
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse community.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to travel on occasion outside the Kingdom of Bahrain.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in communication and/or Public Relations.
  • At least two/three years experience in similar field

  • Articulate communication skills with excellent command of English.
  • Fluent command of Arabic language is essential.
  • Manage and work with internal and external business partners and vendors; maintain project calendar; and deliver communications within assigned deadlines.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • Candidates my hold a Degree in in Library and Information Science or its equivalent is preferred. Alternatively, a diploma or certificate in Library and Information Science or a related field may be accepted.
  • At least 1-2 years experience in similar field
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Candidates must have at least 1-2 years of experience working in a library or a similar setting.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in library management software are required.
  • Candidates should be familiar with current library technologies and trends.
  • Familiarity with electronic resource management systems and technologies is preferred.
  • Candidates should have experience managing or working with e-resources, such as online databases, e-books, and e-journals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining accurate and up-to-date e-resource collections.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Candidates must be profiecient in both English and Arabic languages.
  • Candidates should have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience with cataloging, circulation, and reference services is preferred.
  • The ability to lift and move heavy items, such as boxes of books, is required.
  • Candidates should have a strong ability to attract and engage students and other library users, through programming, outreach, and promotion of library resources and services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for building positive relationships with library users, faculty, and staff

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • PhD Holder (minimum Associate Professor)
  • At least 4 years of experience after obtaining the PhD
  • Experience in academic administration or any related setting to evidence familiarity with academic programmes, policies, and regulations necessary to hold authority over the activities in an educational institution.
  • Suitable research publications in high quality peer reviewed publication outlets in one of the discipline areas offered in the college.
  • Having a proven track record as a leader, teacher and public servant in a variety of settings is critical.
  • An academic dean shall have university teaching experience.
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Experience in developing and maintaining marketing strategies.
  • Proven experience in customer and market research.

Assistant Professor in Digital Media and Interactive Technology (FULL-TIME / PART-TIME) (FG4-CET-250124)

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • PhD in Digital Media and Multimedia Design, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in the field of Digital Media and Multimedia Design.
  • Exhibit a strong research track record in the field of digital media.
  • Hold substantial professional experience in Digital Media and Multimedia Design.
  • Proficient in multimedia production tools and proficient with emerging digital and interactive technologies.
  • Develop course syllabus and deliver undergraduate courses in Digital Media, Multimedia Design, and interactive technologies encompassing subjects such as User Experience and Interaction Design, 3D Animation, Interactive Multimedia, 3D Web Simulation, Game Design & Development, 3D Virtual Reality, Content Management System.
  • Utilize innovative pedagogical methods and technology to enrich student learning experiences.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, nurturing their academic and professional growth.
DESIRED CRITERIA:

  • 2-3 years of teaching experience at graduate and postgraduate level in a broad range of courses related to their specialized area.
  • Publications (articles / book chapters) in refereed journals, which are indexed in Scopus.
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Teaching experience at postgraduate level, particularly in courses relating to Islamic finance.
  • Record of accomplishments in an educational environment.
  • Strong and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, in the English Language.
  • Capacity to work under pressure
