The Quality Assurance & Accreditation Unit (QAAU) was established in 2007. The focus of this unit is threefold; firstly to develop the University’s framework for quality management and its implementation of practices that ensure continuous quality improvement for both Administrative and Academic sectors.

Dr. Arpita A Mehrotra is the Acting Manager for the Quality Assurance & Accreditation Unit at the Royal University for Women (RUW). Dr. Arpita A Mehrotra graduated with a Bachelor's, Master and Ph.D. in Commerce from the University of Lucknow, India. Her doctoral dissertation was on‘Changing demographics and its impact on the marketing strategies of FMCG manufacturers in post-liberalized era’. Her professional experience in higher education spans nearly 21 years across HEIs in India and Bahrain. She served as Director of Marketing and Academics in India at Mumbai School of Business. Dr Arpita joined RUW in 2011 and was appointed Head of the Finance Department in 2013. As Head of the Department, she has been closely involved with the success of the Institutional Reviews, Program Reviews and Placing programmes on the NQF register. She has headed the Association to AdvanceCollegiate Schools of Business (AASCB) accreditation team in the College of Business and Law at RUW. AASCB accreditation has been at the forefront of quality business education across the world, ensuring business schools meet the highest standards of excellence in teaching, research,curriculum, and learner success.
Dr. Arpita has been a panel member in multiple programme reviews over the years under the Education & Training Quality Authority (BQA). Additionally, she is also involved as a panellist in reviewing various qualifications in the Kingdom of Bahrain which are conducted through The General Directorate of National Qualifications Framework.
Furthermore, she has extensive training experience running workshops on Assessment design, AOL, Formation of ILOs and preparing the teams for external reviews.
Her areas of interest include quality assurance in education, accounting, financial management, and mergers andacquisitions. Dr. Arpita has recently completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Program from Said Business School, University of Oxford, as a part of her continuing professional development.
Fatema Aldoseri

Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit
The Royal University for Women welcomed Fatema to the position of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit Officer in January 2022. Fatema holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Financial Studies in addition to professional certifications in the fields of Finance, ALMI in Insurance and Leadership.
Before joining the university, Fatema trained at the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions. She held the position of Research and Innovation where she was involved in writing published briefings and scientific research papers, monthly website audits and running surveys for the Global Islamic Bankers' Survey (GIBS) Report.
At the Royal University for Women, Fatema provides operational support the implementation of the quality assurance and enhancement strategy. She maintains the central depository of minutes and reports produced by the RUW recognised deliberative committees and faculties. Her responsibilities extend to assisting colleges during BQA reviews and the maintenance and implementations of mandatory MR procedures.
She is also responsible for updating the document control register, maintaining records of academic documentations semi-annually and conducting all RUW surveys.
