RUW Writing Clinic

Royal University for Women (RUW) is highly committed to optimizing the students’ learning environment enabling them to cultivate strong, well rounded personalities. Therefore, the Centre for General Studies, as part of its service to RUW and to the students has established the RUW Writing Clinic. The Writing Clinic helps undergraduate and graduate students of RUW from all disciplines to write effectively and confidently. We assure that writing is an integral part of the students’ academic life and it will be a regularly used communication tool in their careers. Our belief is that writing is not an innate talent, it is rather a skill that needs guidance to be acquired (Weigle, 2014). To have this guidance, English for Academic Success (EAS) instructors will offer formative feedback, supporting materials for their areas of need and informative hands-on work-shops.
