Professor Yusra Mouzughi is a highly motivated and innovative academic leader with over 20 years’ experience in the Higher Education sector and over 5 years industry experience in large blue- chip organisations. She has a proven track record of delivering to strategic objectives and a passion for providing a quality educational offering that is relevant to the workplace. Professor Mouzughi is a committed individual with a unique understanding of both Western and Arab cultures and an ability to motivate staff and students incorporating a deep understanding of the links between industry and academia, coupled with a natural personal presence and an articulate approach to negotiation.
Educated in the UK, Professor Mouzughi has a Bachelors in Business Administration from Richmond College London, an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and a PhD in Knowledge Management from Liverpool John Moores University, where she continues to act as a Visiting Professor. She built her academic career in the UK where she worked for more than 14 years developing expertise in education management with a particular focus on Doctoral programmes. She has established a cross disciplinary research profile spanning knowledge sharing and the sustainability agenda. Professor Mouzughi has supervised many Doctoral and Masters theses in the broad management area, has numerous publications in the field and is an invited keynote speaker at many international conferences.
A Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Professor Mouzughi is a member of multiple international Boards and committees dedicated to advancing learning, teaching and research in higher education. These include the UK Quality Assurance Agency, (QAA), the Oman Research Council (TRC), the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) and the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA). Further, she is on the editorial board and a reviewer for several academic journals.
Prior to taking up the role as President of the Royal University for Women, Professor Mouzughi was the Vice Chancellor and acting Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs at Muscat University for over 5 years. Notably, she was also the first female head of a University in Oman. Under her leadership, Muscat University grew in staff and student numbers, delivering the first cohorts of graduates, attracting research funding, strong industry collaborations and distinguished international academic partnerships. As a new and young institution, Muscat University quickly secured for itself a reputation for quality and rigour.
Prior to joining academia, Professor Mouzughi worked as a project manager in the financial services sector in the UK.
Dr Maria Casoria serves as the University General Counsel and she is an Italian licensed Attorney and licensed Mediator in Civil and Commercial Disputes. She joined RUW in September 2015 as an Assistant Professor of Commercial Law and Faculty Advisor in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot at the College of Law.
Dr Casoria holds a Bachelor of Law and International Organizations, a Master of Law, and a Ph.D. in Markets Law from the University of Siena, Italy. Her fields of specialisation are Commercial Law, Competition Law and Privacy in the Digital Markets, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Before joining RUW, Dr Casoria worked at the Italian Competition Authority, Legal Affairs and Litigation Department in Rome, lectured at the University of Siena, and served as Global Stiefel Fellow in Antitrust and IP Rights at the New York Law School - Institute for Information Law & Policy in New York, USA.
Dr. Mrinalini has been the Board Coordinator at RUW since 2011. She serves the RUW Board members and the President. She also teaches management in the College of Business and Financial Sciences at RUW.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management, a Master’s in Marketing and Information system, and a Doctorate in Business Management. In addition, she holds a professional certificate in Digital Marketing.
She also serves as a member of the Editorial Board in the International Journal for Innovative Engineering and Management Research.
Ms. Hala Al Shaikh

Ms. Hala Al Shaikh joined Royal University for Women in July 2013 as a Senior Secretary to the President.
She hold a Bachelor in Business Management from University of Bahrain, and a Diploma in Graphic Design from Cambridge Training College.
She is interested in Social activities
She is interested in social and community activities, she served as a member in "Bahrain Public Relations Association", "Social Media club", and "Watani Al Bahrain Society
Ms.Samar Almeer joined RUW in August 2019 as Head of Corporate Communications. She holds B.S in Business Marketing & Management - University of Bahrain and M.MBA – University of Boston.
A well-known Bahraini personality in the GCC in the fields of Media – Social Media – Events & Marketing.

Besides being a young entrepreneur from the age of 17, started a new annual event/Brand in the market that witnessed major attention in the GCC. Ms.Almeer have worked in reputable organizations in the Kingdom as Social media /Marketing department manager.
Ms Abeer Mohsen is the Public Relations (PR) Officer, the First Year Student Advocate, and currently serves as the Acting PR Manager at RUW. She graduated from the University of Bahrain (UoB) with distinction and placed in the top 10 among more than 500 students in academic excellence during her studies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Media and Mass Communication – with a specialization in Public Relations.
Before joining RUW, she worked in educational institutions and volunteered in youth programmes in the Ministry of Youth & Sports Affairs. She has a strong interest in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and one of her CSR projects was published as a case study in a British Scientific Journal. She admires literature, arts and enjoys reading, photography and badminton.
Ms Abeer is responsible for the publication of information about RUW to both external and internal audiences and dealing on behalf of the university, or a department of the university, with media and communicating with the public.
