Library Collections

RUW library is equipped with around 10,000 print volumes along with hundreds of DVDs, CDs, audio cassettes, bound back files of periodicals and students research projects.   Subscribing to  45 journals of academic nature, it gets  8   current magazines and newspapers of varied nature facilitating its users to get equipped with current affairs.

The  subject coverage of library  includes all aspects of the four RUW subject specialities: College of Art and Design, College of Business & Financial Sciences, College of  Information Technology and College of Law. In support of the Program, library collects material for Centre for General Studies and Women studies also.

Besides these library has good collection of reference books.

Library collection of electronic resources is particularly exciting. Library subscribes 3 Proquest  databases: ‘ProQuest: ABI / INFORM Complete’, ‘ProQuest: Research Library’  and ‘ProQuest: ebrary’ giving full text  electronic access to more than 5000 Journals, millions of journal articles, research reports and other publications. Library also get access to 113,000 books in digital mode through ‘ebrary’.  In January, 2015 a protocol has also been signed between RUW and Kuwaiti Society for Students Support ( KSSS)  giving free full text access to springer’s e books and journal database. This access has been increased to 120,000 full text e books and 3,800 full text e journals published till 2015. SPSS database has also been installed for research data analysis. Further, to check the originality of assignments submitted by students, library subscribe an anti plagiarism software ‘turnitin’.  students are required to submit their assignments through Turnitin.

For over all personality development of students, library has collection on fiction, poetry and literature, as well as books on exercise, sports, nutrition, hobbies, self-improvement, local history, biography, psychology, philosophy and a wide range of other subjects for enjoyment and self-study.
