UoB President Meets RUW President

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB) received in his office the President of the Royal University for Women, Prof Yusra Mouzughi, where he congratulated her on being appointed as the President of the university, wishing her success in her new position.

During the meeting, the President of the University of Bahrain reviewed with Prof Mouzughi the national university achievements during the past thirty-five years, its future plans in supporting scientific research that is based on national priorities, the interest in creativity to be in line with global developments, especially those related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and in line with the government's work program and the Bahrain Vision 2030.

The presidents of the two universities reviewed the prospects for cooperation between the two institutions, and the areas that enhance for the benefit of students in both universities and investing in the capabilities.

Prior to taking up the role as President of the Royal University for Women, Professor Mouzughi was the Vice-Chancellor and acting Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs at Muscat University for over 5 years. Professor Mouzughi holds a PhD in Knowledge Management from Liverpool John Moores University, where she continues to act as a Visiting Professor. Prof Mouzughi is committed to academic quality research and studies.
