Supreme Council for Women and Royal University for Women sign agreement

The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) and the Royal University for Women (RUW) have signed a memorandum of understanding to achieve common goals and support the initiatives of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women.

 

SCW Assistant Secretary-General Shaikha Deena bint Rashid Al Khalifa  and RUW President Professor  Professor Yusra Mouzughi inked the agreement which aims to develop national competences, exchange knowledge and social responsibility initiatives, focusing mainly on developing joint academic and research initiatives and proposing new programmes that heed labour market requirements and integrated women’s needs.

 

Shaikha Deena bint Rashid Al Khalifa said that the agreement would enhance SCW-RUW cooperation to implement joint projects and initiatives that usher in wider horizons for future generations in the fields of innovation, creativity, social and economic development, which would bolster women’s standing and competitiveness. 

 

Professor Mouzughi said that the deal is part of RUW-led efforts to support initiatives and projects aimed to promote women’s empowerment and advancement, led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and SCW President.
