Royal University for Women: Bahraini Women’s Day Marks the Achievements of Bahraini Women in a Dedicated Nation

Royal University for Women extended its sincere congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women, and to Bahraini women and the Bahraini community on the occasion of the Bahraini Women’s Day celebrated first of December of each year, which falls this year under the slogan "A March of Progress in a Dedicated Nation".
The President of Royal University for Women, Professor Yusra Mouzughi, indicated that the Bahraini Women’s Day is a special occasion for every Bahraini citizen, as it’s an opportunity to recall the achievements of Bahraini women as partners of progress and prosperity and the reflection of their willingness to advance their country. This day is also an opportunity to mark the Kingdom of Bahrain’s contributions to enhancing the status of women and their participation in the development process in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Prof Mouzughi added that the initiatives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, have strengthened the role of Bahraini women to occupy advanced positions in various national and international forums, and for Bahraini women to become the ideal model for the empowerment and advancement of women internationally. Mouzughi pointed out that the Supreme Council for Women, which celebrates its 20th anniversary since its establishment this year, was the promising vision of the country's leadership that became a reality to make Bahraini women an effective strategic partner to continue the march of progress in all fields.
Prof Mouzughi stressed that Royal University for Women, being the first university dedicated to empowering women through higher education in the Kingdom of Bahrain, will continue to harness its efforts in the national development by supporting Bahraini women to achieve progress, by being a partner in the process of women advancement in the educational field primarily and in various fields and forums.
