Royal University for Women (RUW) in the Kingdom of Bahrain is seeking the following positions for its 2016-2017 & 2017-18 academic year.

Assistant Professor/ Architecture

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • PhD Degree in Architecture, or related fields
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experince in the field
  • Interdisciplinary focus that facilitates research and teaching
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Experience in teaching: various subjects related to architecture, as Architectural Design studio at various levels, Design funadamentals, architecturl Drawing and presntation, building materials, building construction, acoustics and lighting in interior spaces, etc.
  • Proficiency in a range of CAD Software applications, especially Auto CAD, Sketch-up, Photoshop, 3D Max or any other 3D application software, is highly recommended.
  • Preferably with a record of scholarly and / or professional / creative work.
  • Should be able to teach at Undergraduate and Graduate levels.
  • Relevant research experience and publications will be an added field.
  • The candidate should have proficiency in both Arabic and English.
  • Should be able to teach at Undergraduate and Graduate levels.

Assistant Professor/ Interior Design

Lifeguard

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • Must have a lifeguard certification, preferably advance life saving certificate
  • With certification / training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • With minimum of 2 years lifeguard experience
  • Must have a wide knowledge on first aid
  • Keen in spotting hazards and preventing accidents
  • With experience in water rescue
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Able to deal and communicate with customers/clients
  • Ability to provide advice to water safety and orientation on pool safety regulations
  • Experience in teaching swimming lessons is an advantage

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • Preferably with Bachelor in Physical Education
  • Must have a Diploma or Certificate in Fitness Training
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in fitness training and customer communication
  • Strong knowledge and experience in conducting Aerobics, Aqua-aerobics, and other up-to-date fitness programs
  • Knowledge of nutrition and healthy diet
  • A responsible attitude to health and safety
DESIRED CRITERIA:

  • Preferably with financial management experience.
